Classical music is where I grew up.

It shaped the way I listen, the way I play, and the way I understand sound. It became the foundation of my training, and it continues to inform everything I do.

Over time, my work has grown beyond traditional concert settings. I find myself in recording studios, in collaboration with other artists, in worship settings, and in spaces where music is not only about performance but about presence.

I am drawn to sound that carries beauty and texture. Having a family has taught me to stay with beauty, to give fully, and to be present.

I once read these words by Dr. Curt Thompson, and they have stayed with me:

“As redeemed daughters and sons of God, we have been recommissioned to go forth and co-create new life and beauty in every domain of the world we occupy… We were made to fruitfully fill the earth and create beauty in every corner our lives reach.”

Something about this vision of co-creating beauty has shaped the way I think about music. Not as performance alone, but as participation in something life-giving.

Whether I am performing, recording, or improvising, I am drawn to music that feels honest, unforced, and alive.

The most sensitive musical instrument is the human soul. The next is the human voice. One must purify the soul until it begins to sound.
